SILVERSTONE CALLS AS FHO RACING BMW MOTORRAD IS READY TO KICKSTART ITS 2023 CAMPAIGN

This weekend (7-8-9 April), the Bennetts British Superbike Championship returns for another season of action-packed racing, where the FHO Racing BMW Motorrad team is ready to kickstart its 2023 challenge across the Easter Bank Holiday weekend at Silverstone’s National Circuit.

Following a recent official test at the 1.64-mile Northamptonshire track, Faye Ho’s squad with riders Peter Hickman and former two-time British champion Josh Brookes, are looking to hit the ground running aboard their BMW M 1000 RR machines.

Away from the Superbike series, Faye is supporting riders across two support classes with Richard Cooper in the BMW F 900 R Cup, as well as Kate Walker. For the 2023 season Kate is part of the FHO Girls academy, along with Denise dal Zotto, Holly Harris, Jamie Hanks-Elliott and Scarlett Robinson all competing in the HEL Junior British Supersport Championship.

Track action gets underway on Friday (7 April) with Superbike free practice at 13.00. Qualifying and the opening race of the weekend takes place on Saturday (8 April), with two further races on Easter Sunday (9 April). Click here to view the full weekend schedule.

Peter Hickman:
“Coming into the first round we’re a little behind after some issues during testing, the weather also didn’t help with limited track time. Luckily, I have experience on the bike from last year so I’m familiar with some areas, the aerodynamics have changed, as well as the engine spec and we’ve just managed to do a handful of laps in the rain. This weekend will be about getting up to speed, hopefully getting some dry track time and seeing where we end up.”

Josh Brookes:
“I am very optimistic going into the opening round after what has felt like a very positive pre-season couple of days testing. It is the usual nerves and excitement before the opening round and this time a little bit more as we haven’t ridden the bike to any great lengths in dry conditions so that leaves a little bit to be discovered! I am eager and keen to get going and a lot of positives during the testing period, so hopefully that translates into good racing performance.”

Faye Ho:
“I’m excited for the new season to begin and I can’t wait to see my FHO Racing BMW Motorrad team in action across BSB, the BMW F 900 R Cup, as well as the girls in the Junior Supersport class. We ended the season strong last year with Pete, and although some initial niggles during testing I’m confident we can work through these and Pete can be back fighting at the sharp end. Josh had a good test learning the BMW where he topped the timesheets overall.

I have a hugely talented group of riders across the three series, an experienced team who all are motivated and driven to succeed, so we approach the first round fighting and determined to do the best job we all possibly can.”
