Preview: Round 10 - Donington Park GP

The FHO Racing BMW Motorrad team is looking forward to returning to Donington Park this weekend (27-29 September) for the penultimate round of the Bennetts British Superbike Championship.

Faye Ho’s squad will be looking to continue to take steps forward, where last time out at Oulton Park Josh Brookes was back at the sharp end aboard the BMW M 1000 RR, with teammate Peter Hickman also back in the fight and closer to the front group.

FHO Racing will be looking to finish the season on a high after a challenging year which has seen the team struggling with rule changes, however the hard work behind the scenes is starting to show with both Josh and Hicky making headway and moving further up the field.

The weekend will also see the return of the ABK 0% Beer BMW Motorrad F 900 R Cup, where Jamie Hanks-Elliott will also be looking to continue making progress during her debut year in the class.

“Drawing on the positive from Oulton Park, I’m quite excited to get to Donington; we’ve had a reasonably strong package there before and I have every reason to believe it can be even better. I’m looking to finish out the year as strong as possible and try and get back on that podium.”

“This weekend we’ll be looking to continue where we left off at Oulton Park, as I’ve said the last few rounds, we’re getting closer and closer to the front, even though the positions haven’t really changed that much. The last two rounds I’ve had some top 10 finishes, my first of the year, which hurts me to say that! But it is what it is, we’ll continue to build on everything we have been doing, and the team has done a great job, Josh proved at Oulton Park how fast the bike is, and we are going in the right direction. I’m looking forward to the weekend and racing at Donington, earlier in the season I didn’t get the chance to race after my injury at Oulton, which was super disappointing, so heading back this weekend I’m excited to get going. Donington Park is one of the best circuits in the country and generally speaking our bike works well there, we’ve just got to keep building on what we’ve done the last couple of rounds and see what happens.”
