Faye Ho, owner and principal of the FHO Racing BMW Motorrad Team has released the following statement ahead of the main race day of the 2023 North West 200 event.
“I would like to wish all teams, competitors and spectators a safe day’s racing.
“My team has withdrawn from the event for the reasons extensively explained in our statement issued on Thursday (11th May) evening.
“I have agreed with Peter Hickman that he may continue to participate in the event with his independent team in the classes that were not part of FHO Racing’s original schedule.
“Finally, my thoughts, prayers and best wishes are with Lee Johnston on his recovery following his accident on Thursday during Supersport qualifying.”
The FHO Racing BMW Motorrad team are eagerly anticipating the next round of the Bennetts British Superbike Championship at Donington Park next weekend (19-20-21 May), where they hope to build on their race wins and podium position finishes, as well as returning to the roads at the Isle of Man TT Races, where practice starts on Monday 29 May.
