FHO RACING READY TO HIT THE ROADS AS NORTH WEST 200 RETURNS

THE FHO Racing team hits the roads for the first time this week as the North West 200 signals the return of the international road racing season.

Following two years without action, the famous event is back and will mark the first roads outing for FHO Racing and the new BMW M 1000 RR.

Peter Hickman

Spearheading the team’s charge is fastest road racer in the world Peter Hickman, who returns to the 8.9mile closed-roads triangle which runs between Portrush, Portstewart and Coleraine looking to add to his tally of wins.

Also joining the fold for race week is Brian McCormack. The former Irish Superbike champion returns to the North West for the first time in a decade aboard the Roadhouse Macau by FHO Racing BMW.

Peter Hickman:

“I genuinely can’t wait for the North West 200 to begin, it’s been such a frustrating couple of years with no road racing but finally we’re here, we’re back and it’s all systems go at long last.

“As a rider I’ve been as busy as ever with British Superbikes but both myself and the team have been itching to get back to the roads for two years and we’re finally here which is fantastic.

“I love the North West 200, it’s a brilliant event and I am really looking forward to showcasing the FHO Racing BMW on one of the best roads courses in the world. I’m ready, the team is ready – let’s have a fantastic week.”

Brian McCormack:

“After 10 years away from the North West 200 it’s going to be brilliant to be back out there giving the Roadhouse Macau BMW a run ahead of the TT. I’ve always loved this event and I’m excited to be back.

Brian McCormack

“Coming to the North West with a team so highly-regarded as FHO is fantastic and it’s a great opportunity for me. I really enjoy being part of the squad, they’re a very supportive and skilled crew and I am excited about the week ahead.”

Team Principal Faye Ho:

“This is a very exciting time for myself and everyone involved at FHO Racing as we head to the North West 200 to make our official roads debut. With no road racing since 2019, it’s probably the most anticipated North West 200 ever and I am proud to be a part of it.

“I am excited to see how both of my riders get on. Peter needs no introduction, his results on the roads speak for themselves and he is probably the most iconic road racer of this generation so it’s a privilege for me to have him on my team.

“I am also looking forward to seeing how Brian gets on here. Like Peter, he is a skilled and respected road racer who rode with us last year and is a valued part of our team.

“As a team we are all ready – let’s just hope the Northern Ireland weather decides to be kind to us.”
